The CAST on a field visit to a market gardening site of the YAFITENOU cooperative

Des membres du Comité d’Appui et de Suivi Technique (CAST) du PADFA ont visité le périmètre maraîcher de Monsieur KOUAMÉ KOUAKOU Simon, Président de la Coopérative Yafitenou de Tchimou Assékro le mardi 22 novembre 2022. Il était question d’échanger avec les membres de ladite Coopérative appuyée par le PADFA sur les appuis reçus, leurs réalisations, les difficultés rencontrés. Ce fut l’occasion pour le Président d’exprimer toute sa reconnaissance au PADFA for all the support received (inputs, quality seeds, small equipment and tools, training) which have resulted in a significant improvement in their yields, the ability to now know the weight of their production and finally to negotiate with their customers.

YAFITENOU is a cooperative of 63 members including 17 women and 35 young people based in Tchimou Assékro, a locality located 16 km from Bouaké. It specializes in market gardening (tomato, eggplant, pepper, cucumber and cabbage).
